Mayor’s Youth Summit

Student leaders from Metro schools and local Independent schools spent the day Friday in sessions focused on Health, Safety and Education on the David Lipscomb school campus. They voiced their concerns and spoke to Mayor Dean and Dr. Register about what could be done on the local level to improve these areas. Students Charles Glassford, Elam Mangum, Laura Laine, Justice Swett and Rajiv Patel were there representing the Ensworth School.

City Paper Basketball Honors

The Ensworth High School basketball teams racked up in the City Paper's post season basketball superlatives. Coach of the year for the girls team went to Ensworth's Hubie Smith after winning the DII-AA state tournament. Marie Carpenter was named Top Guard after she led the Tigers to the state title and was named to the all-state tournament team. Top Freshman honors went to Corn Elder, Ensworth’s second leading scorer on the team. Congratulations to all our boy and girl Tigers for a great season!

Fourth Grade on Stage

Mrs. Roberts' fourth grade class enjoyed rave reviews as they performed their play, Robin Hood, in Frist Hall for the Red Gables campus today. Congratulations to Mrs. Roberts and her cast for a fantastic performance!
